London-based Gradient Labs, an AI-native customer operations platform for financial services, has raised a $26 million Series A led by Octopus Ventures and CommerzVentures, with participation from Redpoint Ventures and Exceptional Capital, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2023 by former Monzo AI team members Dimitri Masin, Neal Lathia, and Danai Antoniou, the company builds AI agents designed to automate regulated financial workflows such as customer support, lending operations, disputes, fraud handling, and KYC verification.
- Its technology is deployed across institutions including Wise, Monzo, Zego, Stash, Current, and Rho, and is already used to support more than 32 million end users while handling hundreds of thousands of voice interactions each month in live environments.
- The platform combines large language model-based agents with structured workflows, system integrations, and compliance guardrails, enabling it to execute end-to-end processes such as card replacements, account freezes, complaint resolution, and fraud triage within regulated constraints.
- Reported performance metrics include CSAT scores of up to 98% in production deployments and resolution rates of 40 to 60% at launch, with improvements achieved through ongoing optimisation.
“What we’re building is the agent layer that financial services need to run their customer operations autonomously. It has to work the way they do, connect to the systems they have already built, and handle the long-running work that has stayed manual until now,” explains Dimitri Masin, co-founder and CEO at Gradient Labs.
- The company previously raised $13 million in Series A funding in 2025, following a $3.8 million seed round in 2024 led by LocalGlobe.
Details of the deal
- The new capital will be used to expand its presence in the US, scale its AI agent infrastructure, and broaden deployment across additional financial services workflows.
