Paris-based Freeda raises €3.4M to automate construction plan reviews with AI

Paris-based Freeda, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to detect hidden errors in construction plans, has raised €3.4 million in a round led by Frst with participation from Brick & Mortar Ventures.

What Freeda is doing

In construction and real estate, inconsistencies in plans, regulatory noncompliance, and deviations from brand standards account for the majority of delays before construction even begins. These delays can exceed €100,000 per month for project owners, and teams often spend more than 100 hours on manual compliance checks while still missing critical issues that lead to redesigns and cost overruns.

Freeda has developed a platform that combines AI with field expertise to industrialise plan verification. Instead of weeks of manual reviews, the platform analyses plans within 48 hours and translates complex architectural documents into clear, actionable checks. The goal is to reduce delays, bring revenue forward, and allow teams to spend more time on design rather than repetitive quality control.

What's next

The company plans to expand its team and continue industrialising its review system while adapting to local standards as it enters new markets. Freeda has already verified more than 10,000 plans for clients across Europe and North America and aims to reach one million verified plans by 2026, supporting projects in Europe, the UK, the US, and the Middle East.
