Fitness technology startup ForActive has secured $3.6 million in seed funding led by Simpact Ventures, with participation from BADideas.fund, The Explorer Fund, Pragmatech Ventures, Vesna Capital, and Vestbee Angels.
- Founded in 2023 by Maciej Biegański, ForActive develops a platform designed to help independent fitness and sports professionals manage their businesses through tools such as recurring payments, attendance tracking, and client communication.
- The platform enables solo trainers and small studio owners to streamline their operations and focus on their clients.
- Today, more than 14,000 service providers across the U.S. run their businesses on ForActive.
- The company aims to address a gap in the market by providing software tailored specifically to independent sports professionals, who have traditionally been underserved by solutions built for large gym chains.
Details of the deal
- The newly raised capital will help ForActive scale its go-to-market efforts across the US, expand into new sports categories, and further develop its platform for independent fitness professionals.
- The company also plans to strengthen its social impact initiatives by supporting providers who bring movement, community, and access to sports resources to underserved neighborhoods.
