UK-based AI startup F13 has raised $5 million in a pre-seed round led by Credo Ventures and Point Nine Capital, with participation from angel investors including Carles Reina of Baobab Ventures and Jack Richardson of mainframe, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2026 by Gregory Janik and Ingimar Tomasson, F13 is developing AI models that generate vector graphics, which are widely used in design and engineering because they can be scaled and edited without losing precision.
- The company's technology is designed to generate graphics from text, images, or existing designs while maintaining elements such as proportions, layouts, and data accuracy.
- F13 is initially targeting use cases including charts and data visualisations, infographics, scientific diagrams, maps, and presentation and marketing materials.
- The startup currently offers its technology through an API and a web-based platform. It has opened access to early customers through a waitlist, with a wider launch planned for later this year.
Details of the deal
- The company is also backed by a team of machine learning researchers and designers, including talent with backgrounds at Meta and Porsche and experience working with brands such as Versace, Gucci, and Nike.
- With the fresh capital, F13 plans to bring its first model to market and expand its compute, talent, and data resources. The company will also use the funding to develop additional models for more complex design tasks.
