Verona-based startup Equixly, which provides AI-powered API security testing, has raised €10 million in a Series A round led by 33N Ventures.
- Founded in 2022 by Mattia Dalla Piazza and Alessio Dalla Piazza, Equixly develops an AI-based system that automates security testing for APIs.
- The platform integrates into the software development process and examines how APIs behave, building an inventory of endpoints, data flows, and dependencies.
- It uses machine-learning models trained on real attack data to simulate potential misuse and identify weaknesses that conventional scanners often overlook, particularly in business logic.
- The system then delivers structured findings and technical guidance for developers, while also producing reports that help organizations track data exposure and meet compliance requirements.
Details of the deal
- The Series A round was backed by 33N Ventures, a global B2B cybersecurity and infrastructure software investor, alongside Alpha Intelligence Capital, JME Ventures, Paris-based 360 Capital, and Fondazione CR Firenze.
- The firm plans to use the fresh funding to accelerate product development, expand the team, deepen the intelligence of its autonomous AI agents, and support international expansion, starting with the UK.
"Seeing our agents empower developers and security teams alike, across European banks, insurers and payment providers, is already validation that what we’re building is both important and timely. This new funding cements that. It allows us to push even further, expand our team and deepen the intelligence behind our autonomous agents," Equixly' team, commented on LinkedIn.
