EntryPoint Europe was born from a clear gap in the European startup landscape: while the EU is actively investing in startup growth through initiatives like the EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy and Luxembourg’s €300M million action plan, many of these efforts overlook the unique challenges faced by immigrant founders — especially those from Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA). Despite producing world-class technical talent and resilient entrepreneurial teams, EECA founders often face legal complexity and a lack of familiarity with EU market norms. The absence of local networks and an "EU-only" or even "country-only" VC mindset further compounds the difficulty of launching and scaling across borders. EntryPoint Europe positions Luxembourg as a strategic soft-landing zone, offering not just access but integration — through stipends, mentorship, and operational support that reduce friction and accelerate traction.
The program is specifically designed to empower immigrant founders who are ready to build globally but lack the infrastructure to do so. With 40% of European unicorns founded by immigrants and EECA countries consistently producing underutilized STEM talent, EntryPoint Europe sees immigrant entrepreneurship not as a challenge to solve, but as a competitive edge to amplify. By combining a hybrid structure, online onboarding and onsite residency, with curated access to Luxembourg’s corporate, financial, and innovation networks, the accelerator helps founders prove product-market fit, launch pilots, and secure funding. It’s not just about inclusion, it’s about unlocking the next wave of globally-minded startups that can thrive in Europe and beyond.
What the program offers
All program features are designed to reduce founders’ friction when relocating and proving traction in Europe:
- Support package including a monthly stipend for up to two onsite founders per team, covering travel with caps and accommodation, and hands-on operational assistance
- Monetary support equivalent to approximately $18-20,000 per project delivered as program-funded benefits
- Equity terms of 1–5% for teams participating in the onsite phase and accessing program perks
Curriculum and mentorship
EntryPoint Europe begins with a four-week remote phase focused on Product Solution Fit, where founders immerse themselves in the realities of the EU venture landscape. This stage is designed to help teams recalibrate their product, pitch, and positioning for European markets.
Through tailored mentorship, founders refine their investor narrative, and validate their solution against EU benchmarks. It’s not just about preparing to scale - it’s about proving relevance and readiness.
Following this, selected teams transition into a three-month onsite residency in Luxembourg, where the focus shifts to reaching Product Market Fit. This phase is intensely practical: founders engage directly with customers, launch pilots, and begin generating early traction.
The program facilitates investor introductions, supports legal and operational setup, and prepares teams for a high-visibility Demo Day that draws VCs, corporates, and ecosystem leaders.
EntryPoint Europe curates a network of venture partners, domain experts, and corporate operators who understand the founder journey and the European market terrain. The goal is clear: compress the time from MVP to EU traction, and equip immigrant founders with the tools, network, and confidence to scale globally.
Who should apply
- Stage: MVP-ready or close-to-MVP early-stage teams; early signals of traction are a bonus but not obligatory
- Founders: Teams from EECA are prioritized, with programs built specifically to address immigrant founder barriers such as visas, local network gaps, and legal setup
- Sectors: Sector-agnostic but with emphasis on B2B SaaS, digital deeptech, spacetech, robotics, and other investable verticals that benefit from Luxembourg’s corporate and financial network
Why Luxembourg matters
Luxembourg isn’t just centrally located, it’s structurally optimized for scale. With one of the highest corporate densities in Europe, it offers founders direct access to decision-makers across finance, industry, and innovation. Its proximity to Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam means startups can test and expand across Tier1 markets without relocating or rebuilding from scratch.
The government’s pro-innovation stance translates into real advantages: generous R&D and IP tax credits, fast-track incorporation options, and tailored support for international entrepreneurs. Add to that a multilingual, globally-minded population and a startup ecosystem designed to welcome international founders — not just tolerate them.
EntryPoint Europe taps directly into this infrastructure. Through partnerships with Startup Luxembourg, local VCs, and corporate innovation teams, the program offers curated warm intros, pilot facilitation, and investor matchmaking. Founders don’t just get access — they get embedded. From first meetings to first customers, EntryPoint accelerates the path from MVP to EU traction.
