Prague-based energy tech startup Delta Green has raised €2 million from existing investors, including Tilia Impact Ventures, Credo Ventures, and Purple Ventures, to accelerate its pan-European expansion, as Vestbee was informed.
- Delta Green, established in 2008 as Nano Green and rebranded in 2024 by founders David Brozik, Prokop Cech, Lukas Benes, and Jan Hicl, develops technologies and software to enable flexible electricity use in households, integrate renewable energy, and reduce emissions from conventional power generation.
- The company’s platform links household energy assets, including solar panels, batteries, heat pumps, and electric vehicles, into a virtual power plant, allowing homes to store, shift, or export electricity and participate in grid balancing.
- The system communicates with energy suppliers in real time, helping to optimize electricity consumption during peak demand. In the Czech Republic, Delta Green’s platform is already integrated with E.ON, enabling households to earn additional income from energy flexibility.
Details of the deal
- Delta Green will use the €2 million funding to expand its virtual power plant across Europe, growing its household network from 10,000 homes in 2025 to tens of thousands in 2026, including in Romania, Italy, Hungary, and Slovakia.
- The capital will support integration with energy suppliers to enable households to participate in grid balancing and monetize their energy flexibility, while also enhancing the platform’s technology for managing home batteries and rooftop solar and optimizing energy use during peak demand.
"Household flexibility is no longer in a pilot phase, our business growth proves it works across thousands of households. We’re now accelerating our plans as market demand is clear, with major retailers across Europe approaching us to deploy our solution," claims Jan Hicl, co-founder of Delta Green.
