telli lands $15M to scale AI agents for customer-facing operations

Berlin-based AI startup telli has raised $15 million in a seed funding round led by redalpine, with participation from Cherry Ventures, Y Combinator, Mutschler Ventures AG, and several angel investors. The round brings the company's total funding to more than $18.5 million.

  • Founded in 2024 by Seb Hapte-Selassie, Philipp Baumanns, and Finn zur Mühlen, telli develops an AI platform that enables businesses to automate customer-facing operations across voice calls, chat, SMS, WhatsApp, and email.
  • The platform allows companies to build and deploy AI agents for tasks such as lead qualification, appointment booking, customer support, and follow-up communication.
  • Its AI assistant, Charlie, helps businesses monitor conversations, analyse interactions, optimise agent performance, connect internal systems, and automate workflows across sales, service, and support functions.

Details of the deal

  • The funding will be used to expand telli’s engineering and commercial teams, further develop its AI platform and Charlie AI coworker, and support the company’s growth among B2C businesses adopting AI-powered customer operations.
