London-based AI data company BeatpulseLabs has raised $1.8 million in pre-seed funding led by Araya Ventures and Lighthouse Ventures, with participation from Alumni Ventures and Avalancha Ventures, as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2026 by Jason Rieff and Nikolay Vitanov, BeatpulseLabs is an AI data infrastructure company that prepares training datasets for enterprise machine learning systems. It takes raw multimedia data such as speech, video, music, and radar and converts it into structured datasets used for training and fine-tuning AI models.
- The company uses in-house domain specialists to label and validate data instead of general freelance annotators. It builds custom annotation guidelines for each client and applies feedback loops from experts to improve labeling quality and handle edge cases.
- It also maintains a licensed collection of multimedia data that is cleaned, structured, and formatted for direct use in AI training pipelines or combined with client-specific datasets.
Details of the deal
- The fresh capital will enable the firm to scale its dataset infrastructure, broaden its enterprise AI applications, and enhance expert-driven data labeling and validation systems for multimodal training data.
“We are excited to co-lead this round. What Nikolay and Jason have built in such a short space of time is truly remarkable,” claims Rupa Popat, Founder & Managing Partner at Araya Ventures.
