Aisel raises €1.7M to tackle psychiatry’s capacity crisis beyond AI scribes

Copenhagen-based healthtech startup Aisel Health has raised €1.7 million in a pre-seed round led by Caesar Ventures to expand its AI-powered platform for psychiatric care and support its entry into the UK market.

  • Founded by Augusta Klingsten Peytz and Christian Houen, Aisel Health develops software specifically designed for psychiatric and mental health clinics. Its platform helps clinicians access relevant patient information before, during, and after consultations, bringing together referrals, medical records, patient intake, and consultation data into structured insights.
  • Unlike AI scribes that primarily automate clinical note-taking, Aisel aims to address a broader challenge: helping clinicians find and understand the information they need across years of patient records. Its platform supports patient intake, clinical information structuring, consultation transcription, documentation, billing codes, and EHR synchronisation.
  • The company says its technology is designed to reduce the administrative and documentation burden on psychiatric clinicians, helping clinics increase capacity, improve continuity of care, and ultimately reduce long waiting times for patients.

Details of the deal

  • The round was backed by Nordic Web Ventures, LifeX, and Angel Invest, alongside existing investors Rockstart and EIFO.

“Few problems in healthcare are as large or as overlooked as psychiatry's, and few founders are as passionate about solving it the way Augusta and Christian are. We're proud to lead this round, and look forward to supporting them to deliver the next generation of technology for psychiatry," claims Carolin Gabor, Managing Partner and GP at Caesar Ventures.

  • Aisel will use the funding to expand its clinical and engineering teams and enter the UK market, where it has an active commercial pipeline of private psychiatry clinics. The company is also preparing for a planned seed round.
