London-based AI governance startup AI Score has raised $5.4 million in a seed funding round led by Fuel Ventures, with continued backing from founding investor GALLOS Technologies.
- Founded by Alex Harland and Benita Tibb, AI Score develops an AI governance platform designed to give organizations visibility and control over how generative and agentic AI is used across their operations.
- AI Score's platform sits between an organization's AI policies and the systems, employees, agents, and workflows using AI in practice. It continuously collects and analyzes AI activity, connecting information from across the enterprise to provide a live view of the company's AI landscape.
- The platform is designed to identify AI assets, assign ownership and risk profiles, monitor usage, and maintain an audit trail. It also turns AI activity into actionable insights by assessing risks, usage, costs, adoption, and performance against an organization's objectives.
- For AI agents, AI Score provides additional controls to help organizations understand agent behavior and risk, while controlling what agents can do, access, and connect to. The platform can also apply policies and guardrails, allowing companies to manage AI use without relying solely on blanket restrictions.
Details of the deal
- The round also attracted investors from the technology, finance, and national security sectors, including Alan Morgan, co-founder of MMC Ventures; Mo El Husseiny, Managing Partner at Ventura Capital; and Robert Mann, Founding Partner at Marshall Bridge Ventures.
- The new funding follows a $1 million pre-seed round in November 2025. AI Score’s revenue grew strongly in the first half of 2026, with demand coming from law firms, FTSE 250 companies, a UK fintech, and global consumer brands.
- AI Score plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate platform development, expand its go-to-market capabilities, and scale its tools for managing generative and agentic AI across enterprises.
