Budapest-based drone company ABZ Innovation has secured €7 million in funding, led by Vsquared Ventures with participation from Day One Capital, to scale production, accelerate product development, and expand into key international markets, as Vestbee was told.
- Established in 2011 by Karoly Ludvigh, ABZ Innovation designs and builds heavy-duty drones for agriculture and industry. Its agricultural drones carry 10–50 L of liquid, spray up to 16 L per minute, and cover 4–24 hectares per hour.
- Seeding drones spread 0.5–6 mm granules over widths up to 9 m and up to 1,100 kg per hour. Industrial drones clean surfaces up to 60 m high with 200 bar pressure, and multifunctional drones carry up to 40 kg for 50 minutes of flight.
- ABZ drones operate autonomously on programmable routes, allowing precise work while reducing labor, water, and chemicals. The company serves more than 39 clients in over 25 countries.
Details of the deal
- The funding round was led by Vsquared Ventures, with support from Hungarian early-stage venture firm Day One Capital, which backs deeptech and industrial startups in the CEE region, and US-based firm Assembly Ventures.

- ABZ Innovation will use the €7 million investment to scale production, advance its research and development efforts, and strengthen its global distributor network.
- The funding will enable the company to enhance drone performance and autonomy, expand manufacturing capacity to meet international demand, and equip partners with the tools and support needed to deploy drones efficiently in agricultural and industrial operations, improving safety and resource efficiency.
