Cologne-based startup Vamo, which simplifies the transition to green and affordable heating by providing comprehensive installation and maintenance services for heat pumps, has secured €7 million in a seed extension round. Extantia and GET Fund led the funding.
- Founded in 2022 by Laurenz Ohlig, Falk Hantl, and Dr. Jan Ossenbrink, Vamo is a digital trade company specializing in comprehensive heat pump solutions. The company provides an all-inclusive package for green heating, managing every step from installation to maintenance, all delivered within one week by a dedicated team of local craftsmen.
- As of now, Vamo employs over 100 specialists and has companies such as OBI, HornBach, Vaillant, and Viessmann among its clients.
- Within just six months, Vamo has grown from its Cologne headquarters to operate nationwide, achieving a sixfold increase in year-over-year growth. The startup currently oversees hundreds of smart heat pumps across all 16 federal states in Germany.

- The round was led by German funds Extantia and GET Fund. The investment also saw support from Munich-based VC caesar, Frankfurt-based neosfer, and Realyze Ventures.
