Top CEE funding rounds closed in December 2024

Every month, Vestbee compiles a list of the most significant financial rounds closed in Central and Eastern Europe and the broader European region, providing details on each deal. Below is a list of startups from CEE that received funds during December. 

Pathway, over €9.5M in a seed round

Location: Polish-founded startup with HQ in the US
Founded in: 2020
Total funding received: €14 million 
Recent funding sources: TQ Ventures, Kadmos, Inovo.vc, Market One Capital, and Id4

Pathway builds live AI systems that think and learn in real-time, enabling organizations' ongoing AI transformation without needing re-platforming. The startup plans to use over €9.5  million seed funding to enhance its live AI systems, expand its infrastructure, and enable real-time data integration into AI applications for more dynamic and accurate decision-making.

Jome, €9.4M in Series A 

Location: Ukrainian-founded with HQ in Austin, the US
Founded in: 2020
Total funding received: over €15.8 million 
Recent funding sources: Geek Ventures, u.ventures, Toloka VC, Vesna Capital, Roosh Ventures, Network VC, SID Venture Partners, Flyer One Ventures, and Forefront VP.

Jome simplifies finding and purchasing new construction homes through its AI-powered platform. The startup reports that it aggregates 90% of new construction inventory across 16 major US cities and has assisted over 100,000 buyers since its launch in 2020. Jome will use the Series A funding to expand into new markets, enhance its AI solution, and improve the home-buying experience for both buyers and builders.

Coding Giants, €8.5M

Location: Warsaw, Poland
Founded in: 2017
Total funding received: €12 million 
Recent funding sources: True Global Ventures, PortfiLion Capital Partners

Coding Giants offers coding courses for children and teenagers, teaching them to create digital projects like computer games, mobile apps, websites, and 3D graphics. It operates in  in 13 countries, offering 77 different courses. The current funding will help the startup accelerate its growth in Spain and Italy, as well as expand into new markets, including LATAM, the Spanish-speaking US population, and Germany.

Deus Robotics, over €2.8M in a seed round

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Founded in: 2018
Total funding received: over €4.3 million 
Recent funding sources: u.ventures, Sigma Software Labs, SID Venture Partners, SD Capital, 1991 Accelerator

Deus Robotics develops AI-powered automation solutions for warehouses, specializing in robotics technology to address labor shortages and increase productivity. The startup plans to use the recent funding to enhance its AI robots' communication capabilities, allowing seamless integration with robots from any manufacturer, and to support its expansion into the UK market.

Parol, €1.2M in a seed round

Location: Bucharest, Romania
Founded in: 2020
Total funding received: €1.7 million 
Recent funding sources: Gapminder VC

Parol develops an AI-powered platform that transcribes doctor-patient conversations in real time and automatically generates accurate medical records, ensuring data security and efficient documentation. The stratup will use the €1.2 million in funding to further develop its AI models.

Freya Cultivation Systems, €500k in a seed round

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania
Founded in: 2019
Total funding received: €800,000
Recent funding sources: Coinvest Capital, Sofigama Investments, BSV Venture, Zunami, and private investors

Freya develops agricultural technologies, including the three-dimensional Aeroframe greenhouse system. The system uses ultrasonic misting to deliver nutrient-rich mist to plants, optimizing growth and resource efficiency. The startup will use the funds to build a demonstration greenhouse near Kaunas, validate the Aeroframe system through new pilot projects, and expand its market reach.

LAM’ON, €500k 

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
Founded in: 2018
Total funding received: €500,000 
Recent funding sources: Eleven Ventures and Grigoriy Ananiev

LAM'ON specializes in bio-based, compostable laminating and packaging films, offering eco-friendly alternatives to conventional plastics. The startup will use the fresh funding to strengthen its marketing efforts and acquire new customers in Europe’s F&B, apparel, home goods, and electronics packaging sectors.

Elin.ai, €420,000 in a pre-seed round 

Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Founded in: 2023
Total funding received: €1 million 
Recent funding sources: JSK Investments

Elin.ai develops an AI-powered app to protect and improve Generation Z’s mental health. Within the current pre-seed round, JSK Investments joins Presto Ventures and BD Partners, who backed Elin.ai in the spring of 2024, investing €600,000. Elin.ai will use the funding to enhance its AI models and expand its features to address a broader range of specific issues, such as eating disorders, anxiety, and conspiracy theories.

Askel.ai, over €380k in a pre-seed round

Location: Harku, Estonia
Founded in: 2024
Total funding received: €380,000
Recent funding sources: Superangel and private investors

Askel.ai develops a platform that empowers non-technical users to create, manage, and optimize workflows using simple, natural language, eliminating the need for coding or switching platforms. The startup will use the recent funding to develop its platform, enhance automation features, and scale the product to support more SaaS companies.

Pixevia, €340k as a convertible note

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
Founded in: 2013
Total funding received: €2.8 million 
Recent funding sources: Coinvest Capital and business angels

PIXEVIA offers AI-powered autonomous retail solutions, which enable checkout-free shopping, optimize store operations with real-time 3D platforms, and provide advanced consumer data insights for brands. The €340,000 investment will be used to expand into Taiwan, Belgium, Italy, and Poland and strengthen operations in the APAC region, Europe, and the US.
