The investment was led by node.vc, with additional support from Greens Ventures and PreSeed Ventures.
- Founded in 2022 by Viktor Lidholt, Serverpod is an open-source, scalable app server written in Dart for the Flutter community. It simplifies backend development by enabling server-side code in Dart, ensuring seamless communication between Flutter frontends and backends.
- Serverpod automatically generates client-side code, making remote calls as simple as local ones. Key features include built-in caching, an advanced ORM for database management, logging, Docker deployment, plus support for authentication, data streaming, task scheduling, file uploads, and health checks.
- The firm has gained strong early traction with over 8,000 developers and 1,000+ apps built. It is set to launch a commercial cloud version in early 2025, unlocking even more opportunities for developers and businesses.
- In 2024, the startup secured €1.7 million in pre-seed funding from PreSeed Ventures, followed by an additional $5 million in early-stage venture capital, bringing the total funds raised to date to approximately $6.9 million.
