SensusQ, an Estonian defence tech startup, has raised €3.8 million from US-based New North Ventures.
- SensusQ was founded in 2020 by Marko Kaseleht and Villiko Nurmoja. The company can synthesise a large amount of different data and sources into comprehensive information. As a result, it will decrease the failure of intelligence cycles and speed up information exchange in military units.
- The startup's technology has already been delivered to NATO and Ukraine.
“The deployment of SensusQ technology in Ukraine has resulted in an increased demand for our intelligence system in allied countries, which we will be focusing on in the upcoming year. The knowledge and assistance provided by New North Ventures will undoubtedly aid us in fulfilling the increasing demand more efficiently,” said Marko Kaseleht, CEO of SensusQ.
- Earlier this year, in February, SensusQ secured its first investment from Estonian Specialist VC. Its portfolio has around 60 companies including Bolt, Salv, Veriff, Cybexer and Starship.
- The leading investor in the current funding is New North Ventures, an early-stage VC that focuses on seed investments. At this moment, NNV has 13 startups in its portfolio.
- With the new funding, SensusQ wants to bring its applications to the compliance, risk management, fraud detection, and security sectors, in addition to the defence industry.
- Moreover, the company is preparing to raise the next investment round and inviting investors to participate.
