German-based Sdui has acquired Austrian-based FoxEducation and has raised €21 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Summiteer and HV Capital, with participation from Haniel, Brighteye Ventures, Michael Hinderer, and High-Tech Gründerfonds.

- Wien-based FoxEducation was founded in 2015 by David Schalkhammer, Julian Breitenecker, and Stefan Siegl. The startup develops a platform that aims to foster learning cohesion between educational institutions and families by providing simple communication tools, reducing administrative burdens, and supporting each child's individual learning journey.

- Headquartered in Koblenz, Sdui was established in 2018 by Daniel Zacharias. The startup is an EdTech company that helps educational institutions, sponsors, and ministries with digitization by developing new operating systems for digital schools and daycare centers.
- Sdui employs a team of 230. The startup is trusted by 22,000 schools and daycare centers in more than 70 countries, both in and outside Europe.
Details of the deal and the acquisition
- Sdui has raised a total of €46 million in a Series A round, with €21 million from leading investors including German VC Summiteer and Munich-based HV Capital, and new and existing investors including Haniel, Brighteye Ventures, Michael Hinderer, and HTGF.
- The acquisition of FoxEducation will establish Sdui as a leading EdTech provider for German-speaking schools and preschools, with future expertise to enhance its products, including improved features and services.
