Slovenian visual CPQ platform SaleSqueze has raised $1.5 million in a round led by Underline Ventures. The investment will help SaleSqueze enter new markets and further develop its product, as the startup shared with Vestbee.
- Co-founded in 2021 by Tilen Tomakić and Leon Panjtar, SaleSqueze develops a Visual CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platform for small to medium-sized businesses to streamline complex product sales, including home and garden equipment, outdoor solutions, tiny and modular houses, garden buildings, RVs, automotive, agrotech gear, industrial components, and medical devices.
- SaleSqueze’s platform features a Drag & Drop Configurator Builder, allowing users to create configurators without coding or design skills and prequalifying ready-to-buy leads.
- The startup claims that clients using its platform have registered impressive ROI within up to three months, such as up to three times more leads, a 40% increase in sales, and a 90% reduction in administrative work.
Details of the deal
- Underline Ventures led the funding round. It is a Bucharest-based venture capital firm that invests in Eastern European founders with global ambitions.
“I’m impressed by SaleSqueze’s vision and dedication. We’re excited to support their mission to simplify B2B sales of complex products with a visual, digital experience,” General Partner of Underline Ventures, Bogdan Iordache, commented in a statement.
- The round saw participation from Berlin-based VC Robin Capital, Cluj-Napoca-based VC Fortech Investments, and several business angels, including Super-Angels, Klub 20, Xenia Muntean, Christoph Zoeller, and Björn W. Schäfer.
- With the fresh capital, SaleSqueze plans to further develop its platform to offer self-service capabilities, automate onboarding processes, and fund its entry into new international markets.
“Our goal is to make digital sales available to any company selling complex products, just like Shopify did for standard products and like Tesla did for cars. This funding round is a big step towards making that happen, as it enables us to make our platform self-service, automate onboarding, and support more businesses globally. We want to make selling complex products as easy and efficient as possible,” co-founder and CEO of SaleSqueze, Leon Panjtar, said.
