Hungarian VC Nesprit launches €750k micro fund to invest in early-stage CEE startups

Budapest-based multi-vertical VC Nesprit has launched a €750,000 micro fund, as they have shared with Vestbee. The investment focus is going to be on climate tech, water tech, foodtech, and IIoT in seed and pre-seed stages across CEE.

  • Nesprit micro fund was launched by Daniel Gockler and David Fodor in December 2023. Since then, the fund managed to raise €600,000 as grant, and €150,000 from family offices. As of now, it continues its fundraising process for the fund, targeting  €20 million.
  • As Daniel told Vestbee, Nesprit’s goal is to build a friendly community where ideas can be shared in order to help everyone. At this moment, the fund is in partnership with Hungarian business consulting company Future Proof Consulting for people DD, Novum Solutions for AgTech sales network, and ETA Technologies for people analytics.
  • Nesprit already has five angel investments in its portfolio, including sport tech Nordensa, legaltech Nuvalaw, climate tech Better Nature, product analytics Mitzu, and fashion startup Velaro. The micro fund is planning to support 5–6 startups with ticket sizes ranging between €50,000–€200,000.
  • The €20 million fund, which is still in the fundraising process, will have larger ticket sizes, ranging from €500,000 to €1.5 million, that will be provided to more than 10 startups across the CEE region.
