Grenoble-based My Digital Buildings, which specializes in creating and utilizing spatial building data, has raised €2 million in a seed funding round. The fresh round saw participation from Grenoble Angels, three business angel associations from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Paris Business Angels, BADGE, Rhône Dauphiné Développement, and Daylight Investissement.
- Founded in 2019 by Emeric Mourot and Nicolas Gerchenzon, My Digital Buildings provides a solution for creating and centralizing spatial data of buildings, enhancing operational efficiency. The company's offerings span the entire digitization journey, from developing and implementing digital strategies to generating and leveraging spatial building data.
- Since its inception, the startup has achieved 80% annual growth, reaching €2 million in revenue by 2023. In 2022, My Digital Buildings launched seven new branches across France.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding round totals €2 million, including €1.2 million in equity from Grenoble Angels, three business angel associations from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Paris Business Angels, BADGE, Rhône Dauphiné Développement, Daylight Investissement, as well as Mr. Laurent Fiard and Mr. Guillaume Anelli. Additionally, €800,000 in bank leverage is provided by BPI France, CIC, and BP AURA.

- My Digital Buildings will use the funds to hire 10 new employees in France, set up an R&D center in Grenoble, and develop a new software platform launching in April 2025. They will also open their first subsidiary in Spain by the end of 2024 as part of their international expansion.
