Paris-based medtech startup Gleamer, which develops AI-driven radiology solutions, has secured €4.5 million in co-funding from the French government. This funding will be part of a total €18 million investment in the company's OncoView project, an AI solution designed to assist radiologists in interpreting oncology CT scans.
- Founded in 2017 by Christian Allouche and Alexis Ducarouge, Gleamer develops AI-driven radiology solutions to assist healthcare professionals in interpreting medical images.
- The company employs a team of 75 and offers a diverse suite of proprietary tools, including BoneView for bone trauma detection, ChestView for thoracic pathology detection, BoneMetrics for MSK measurements, and BoneAge for bone maturity assessment.
- Gleamer is expanding its offerings with BreastView, an AI solution for early breast cancer detection, and OncoView, an AI tool for oncology imaging designed to assist radiologists in accurately interpreting CT scans.
Details of the deal
- The €4.5 million investment was co-funded by the French government through the France 2030 program, which is backed by a total budget of €7.5 billion to accelerate innovation in key sectors, including healthcare.
- The startup will use €18 million over the next five years for its "OncoView" project, which focuses on developing AI tools to detect, measure, and monitor cancerous lesions, starting with lung and bone. OncoView will enhance the Gleamer Copilot® to improve the interpretation of oncology CT scans and help fight cancer.
