German healthtech startup exakt health, which offers an app providing customized therapy plans for sports injury recovery, has secured €2.2 million in a seed round. The fresh funding came from Barmenia Next Strategies, ESB Invest Vorpommern GmbH, Backbone Ventures, and Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund.

- The funding round came from Barmenia Next Strategies, a Wuppertal-based early-stage venture investor in the insurtech and health sectors, as well as German VC ESB Invest Vorpommern GmbH and Zurich-based BackBone Ventures, which focuses on startups in Germany and Switzerland.
- Additionally, Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund and business angels, including Maximilian Tayenthal and Cornelia Oelling geb. Hoppe, joined the investment round.
- With the €2.2 million in funding, the startup aims to enhance its product by launching an exciting new app update in October. The new update will feature AI-powered running plans that offer non-injured runners a fully personalized training experience tailored to their unique needs and progress.
