Warsaw-based healthtech startup Doctor. One has raised a €4 million seed round led by YZR Capital, with participation from Impact Ventures and existing investors, as the company shared with Vestbee. The funding will support the startup’s expansion into Germany, Spain, and the UK, as it scales its asynchronous care model for chronic patients beyond its home market in Poland.
- Doctor. One enables healthcare professionals to stay continuously connected with patients between hospital or clinic visits through asynchronous communication, extending trusted doctor-patient relationships without overloading physicians' schedules.
- The platform is already being used in programs with Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Merck, and AstraZeneca, helping improve treatment adherence, patient engagement, and long-term outcomes.
- So far, the startup has facilitated almost half a million micro-interactions across therapeutic areas, including obesity, oncology, neurology, and endocrinology. In a recent MS program, 81% of doctors reported improved care quality, with an NPS score of 93.
"We are strong believers in exceptional teams fixing crucial problems on a large scale with innovative solutions," said Markus Feuerecker, co-founder and managing partner at YZR Capital. "In Doctor. One we found such a team that stands out with their asynchronous care model and proven success in tackling key issues in care pathways using scalable technology."
- Doctor. One is also expanding its technology stack: earlier this year, it acquired fellow Polish startup Doctor Dok, a developer of AI healthcare solutions, to strengthen its ability to support care paths with AI-driven insights and automation.
- With the fresh funding, Doctor. One plans to scale its team in Sales, Product, AI, and Growth, target an eightfold revenue increase in 2025, and build its presence across Europe’s largest healthcare markets.
