Latvian sustainable auto startup BeTRITON, which combines accommodation, boating, and cycling to revolutionize sustainable travel, has raised €80,000 from 150 investors through an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. This funding round will enable BeTRITON to further develop its product and build new units for rent and sale.
- Founded in 2018 by Aigars Lauzis, BeTRITON is an electric amphibious RV that provides sustainable outdoor experiences. It features a 3-in-1 concept, offering accommodation for two, boating, and cycling, making it ideal for families, couples, adventurers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
- The startup offers three products, including:
- BeTRITON: a premium all-in-one vehicle with an electric cargo bicycle, an electric boat, and a tiny camper with a hard-top cabin.
- BeTriton Trailer Version: a towable trailer that works as an electric boat and a tiny camper with different cabin options. It can be towed by a standard e-bike.
- BeTriton eTrailer Version: a trailer that can be towed by a standard bicycle and includes an electric bike motor for easier land travel. It’s also designed to be used on water.
- BeTRITON rental fees range from €100 for a 1-day stay, to €200 for a 2-day stay, accommodating up to 2 people, with a maximum duration of 2 days.
- The recent crowdfunding round on Crowdcube, a London-based European equity crowdfunding platform, was oversubscribed by 114%. It attracted 150 investors and raised €80,000.
- The capital raised will enable BeTRITON to advance its product development and produce new units for rent and sale.
