On April 19, the third edition of the WEG Conference, an event for the private equity and venture capital industry, took place in Warsaw. It was organized by Warsaw Equity Group, a leading private investment company, supporting the growth of various business ventures that develop innovative B2B solutions.

This time, the WEG Conference was dedicated to the topic of leadership and brought together PortCos leaders and key figures from the private equity and venture capital ecosystem in CEE. More than 150 C-level representatives from innovative technology companies, VC fund managers, PE firms, and selected innovation experts attended the event.

Among the keynote speakers of the WEG Conference 2024 was Al Peasland, former Head of Innovation Partnerships at Williams F1 Racing. Using the world of Formula 1 as an example, he explained, among other things, the importance of a clear mission, continuous improvement, and how building effective teams plays a key role in business success.

Grant Gemmell, Managing Director of Facet5 Global, also appeared among the speakers, discussing the leader's personality, changing the way of thinking, and how leadership style translates into business. Linda Reese, CEO & Managing Partner at Culture Leaders, discussed the impact of strengthening organizational culture on improving profitability and product quality, as well as building a sense of belonging and high commitment within the organization.

“We are pleased that the feedback from conference participants confirms that we succeeded in accomplishing the goal of presenting various ways to build a successful business based on strong leaders. Effective leadership is one of the pillars on which we, at Warsaw Equity Group, also base the strategy of building the value of our portfolio companies,” commented Dawid Bienkowski, Managing Partner of Warsaw Equity Group.
